If you’re new here, my name is Kaleah Slay, Owner of Slayology & Slayology Professional. I’m a celebrity hairstylist, beauty expert, entrepreneur and educator.

I was born and raised in a small town in Michigan and moved to Atlanta, GA in 2018 with nothing but a dollar and a dream, literally. Moving to another state without knowing any friends or family or a plan was the most challenging experience I ever had to endure.

I discovered my love for the beauty industry prior to this while in my first year of college. I was working at Indique Hair Extensions as a client-care liaison selling extensions at their flagship location in NYC where I was in college. I found myself going to work more than I was attending class. This is how I knew I'd discovered my true passion, hair. I then decided to drop out and pursue hair full time. I moved back to my hometown to Michigan to begin my pursuit of becoming a cosmetologist by attending Douglas J. Aveda Institute. Two weeks after my graduation I used the money I had saved up from working to buy a car leaving me with $800 in my bank account and a 12 hour drive to Atlanta.

I didn’t know where to start but I saw my future very clearly. Through years of struggle, depression and hardship, I was able to push through and overcame the challenges to get on the right path to success.

My first year as a commission stylist I made over 6 figures at 23 years old.

I went through many challenges and learned many valuable lessons along the way. I’ve navigated through every imaginable obstacle to become the successful business owner I am today.

Today I’ve built a fast growing globally recognized brand, I’ve developed a team and created strong foundational relationships within the beauty industry. I can happily say that I was able to also develop a full high-end clientele base, launch successful e-commerce products, as well as owning one of the most notable salons in the same city that I overcame the struggle in today at just 26 years old.
